Mr. Zaveri has more than 40 years of experience in the area of Compliance and Supervision of Banks in India. Mr. Zaveri specialises in assisting foreign banks and other financial services firms with their RBI licensing requirements. In addition, he is also assisting RBI regulated firms with their ongoing compliance requirements, including their compliance framework, Foreign Exchange Management Act and so on.

For over 40 years, Mr. Zaveri worked for the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), where he worked in the Foreign Exchange Department, the Department of Banking Operations and Development and the Department of Banking Supervision. After his retirement from RBI, he has worked extensively on various consultancy assignments primarily with Foreign Banks operating in India or those looking to obtain authorization.

Mr. Zaveri worked with CCL Consultants (India) Private Limited, a compliance consultancy firm, from 2012 to 2019. During his stint at CCL, he has assisted many Foreign Banks with their RBI authorization process for the opening of a Representative Office or a Branch office in India. He has advised Indian Corporates on RBI requirements for Joint Ventures and Wholly Owned Subsidiaries abroad. He is instrumental in helping Small Finance Banks and Payments Banks in getting the required authorizations from RBI.
